Feeding Instructions
ProtecTail is a feed supplement for pigs with necrosis and tail biting/cannibalism problems
- Selected substances with a calming effect provide more peace and quiet in the barn and thus reduce additional workload.
- With the help of the Triotin active agent package, animal losses can be reduced through lower inflammation and accelerated wound healing.
Packaging size: 20 kg
Feeding recommendation: 5-10 kg/t feed
- For prevention and latent problems: 5 kg/t of feed
- For acute problems:10 kg/t of feed
For prevention and latent problems
- 5 kg/t of feed
- Suitable for long-term use
- Or as a preventive measure in the short-term during critical phases (e.g. moving to a different barn, weather changes, disease incidence, change of feed or if the problem occurs more frequently at certain times or in certain weight ranges)
For acute problems
- 10 kg/t of feed
- Short-term for 7-14 days at the onset of the problem, short-term if the problem occurs more frequently at certain times or in certain weight ranges
For acute problems in individual cases
- 15 g/animal/day and only individual affected pens
- Directly by hand e.g. into the trough
- 5-7 days or until symptoms subside
